Choosing The Perfect Wedding Colors

By Jason Larrsohn

Colors are an important part of any Las Vegas wedding. The bride will tend to pick out two or three colors that will represent the theme of the event.

All the colors, decorations, venues, and guests were plotted at age five and rehearsed with Barbie dolls and G.I. Joes (stolen from brothers). Every detail was planned long ago and all she has to do is replace the Ken doll with a real life many and the event is set.

Even with simple distinctions like the time of year though, the color choosing process can still be difficult.

It includes hotels, flights, etc., the whole nine-yards. It means that you and family may be pressed to find a venue, hotel, flight, or vehicle for an affordable price, if you can find one at all.

Something as simple as choosing your wedding colors can become as difficult as choosing only one chocolate from a variety box. There are so many options that it can be really hard to determine (1) which color scheme to go with, and (2) if the color scheme will look good or not.

There are a number of outside influences for your wedding you could use to help determine the colors you want for your Las Vegas wedding. The following are three of the easiest to examine for guidance. First, look to your flowers for inspiration. What flowers will be in your bouquet?

Some types of flowers only come in certain colors. Hence, if you have a flower you're dead set on, you can limit your options to what's available.

Have you ever used a color wheel before? A color wheel puts all of the known colors into perspective on a pinwheel.

If you're struggling with a choice of flower, look to what beautiful flowers are in bloom in the month you'll be getting married. You increase your chances that they'll show up colorful and beautiful the day of the wedding if they are in bloom and in stock.

Save some money and secure yourself a place by booking everything early. You'll never regret being too prepared. Fourth, check with your local government how transferring records of a marriage to your hometown works. For many places around the U.S. this isn't a problem, but for visitors from foreign countries, you may have to file some paperwork well before it's time to hop on a plane. Make sure your hometown sanctions Vegas weddings. Then ensure you have the proper paperwork filled out before the weeding.

If you're looking for two colors for your wedding, then grabbing a color from the color wheel and identifying its complement will get you exactly what you're looking for. There are many digital color wheels that can help you see how colors would work together.

Perhaps your color schemes can be in honor of your mom. She would love it, and just as long as it's okay with you, it could bring you two closer, especially since the bond of using the mother's dress has faded as of late. So look at other aspects of the wedding for inspiration for your colors. You'll find it much easier to choose in these circumstances.
