Why And What Should We Pray For

By April Briggs

We live in a time that people tend to believe in themselves more than they believe in God. In this article, we will focus the attention on what should we pray for and how praying will change our life for the better. Our primary focus will be on the things that we can ask God to help us in times of happiness and times of distress. We cannot live a life as though we do not have a person that is up in heaven that understands our predicament.

The purpose of this writing is to encourage those that have seen no reason for praying. It takes a lot of faiths to improve on the desire to seek the face of God. We live in an era that people trust so much in science such that they want to see the evidence of things before they believe in.

It is important to note that faith is an integral aspect of our life if we are to make any progress in the things that we want to do. Some member in the Christian circles prays for the wrong reason. They pray for things that do not have a heavenly dimension that is bent to harm other people, or it is of selfish interest.

Praying an exercise that should not involve many words but it should be direct and straight to the point. Many words, in this case, mean repeating the same thing for a long time thinking that when you shout you will be heard better. The Father that created us knows our problem even before we speak to him.

Giving praise is a sign to show that he is almighty, and we appreciate the fact that he makes us good at all times. Giving praise might look a small thing but the effect it does in the heavenly community is great. God deserves prayer because he has done all the great things that we enjoy without putting much effort.

Praying is so important t such that even the apostles lived on praying. Science is not everything that can make us live the quality we want. If we can inculcate the habit of spending some quiet time with God, then we will find so many answers to the problems. The other way to seeking the face of Christ is by interceding for the other people.

It makes us aware the we are brothers and sisters in this world such that we need each other, and we share common problems for all. Intercession means that we can offer the requests that are in the interest of God and that of those around us.

We attend night vigil in churches, and people go silent within a time frame of a few minutes because they lack the words. It is not the presence of many words that determine if you are effective in our prayer, but it is the honesty that is in the heart of the person offering the supplication. Prayer is simply talking to a caring father that would listen to you if you put your concerns to him.
