Stop searching for your other half.
What?!
That probably does sound absolutely paradoxical to anything you've ever heard before, but searching for your "other half" unfortunately does mean that you are not basically a whole person right off the bat. It suggests, that you really do not have everything within you already that you need to live a very happy life. Isn't life about really seeing ourselves and who we are deep inside?
As an alternative look for the person who wants to be your teammate. Look for someone who challenges you to be something larger than you have ever been before. Look for someone who truly believes in you and your vision, who is there for you when times get hard and who comes to you when they require support as well. Look for someone who will walk right by your side...not your missing piece.
Because in life, things always appear and disappear. Even the relationships that stand the test of time eventually end and you have to go on living your life. The individual that is going to be there for you for a long time would also wish that you really wouldn't be broken to pieces when they're gone. So be a complete person who can love another totally. Be the best version you really can be for yourself and allow another to dream with you on the way to change the world.
When you can work on yourself in life and find another who wants to do the same, then you can meet together as two entire individuals who appreciate and treasure each other. Isn't this a far better way of going through life than thinking you are unfinished without a person there? Does not this open you up to major amounts of depth and the power to reach your actual potential?
Find your teammate, you will be much better off. These relationships bloom.
