The Essence Of Flow Of A Wedding Reception Ohio

By Christopher Turner

A wedding reception is simply a party held after a marriage ceremony. After the couple has been wedded in either a church or a designated place chosen to host the ceremony, people head over to the reception area for food, refreshments and entertainment. A wedding party usually composed of the bride, groom, maid of honor, best man and parents receives the guests. In a wedding reception Ohio, guests are wined, dined, and entertained. It can last for any duration of time be it half an hour or many hours. Huge ceremonies can last for days.

Given that this is the most important day of a couple, it is important to have the best ceremony. This means proper prior planning to have a good flow of activities from the start to the end. The introduction should be the first thing that starts the party. Here, the couple is introduced to the guests who are composed of family members and friends. Here, both families get a chance to know one another and starts off great relationships. Somerset, OH boasts of a number of venues that can host receptions.

After the introductions have been exhausted, the couple gets to show off their dancing skills. They open the dance floor with a dance that they have prepared for sometimes weeks and months prior. It symbolizes their unity, unison and commitment to each other. It also shows their loved ones that they are ready to take on the world together. They are free to prepare for any dance be it the bridal waltz, tango, contemporary style or funky moves. The idea is to be fun and entertaining.

The toast is the next thing on the timetable. It has long been the tradition to have the best man or maid of honor each give a toast. Sometimes they might decide to make a joint toast. Other family members and guardians can also be given a chance to make their toasts and bless the union. This might be the parents, relatives or friends.

Soups and salads are served immediately after the toasts and blessing. They are designed to be appetizers that precede the cutting of the cake. The couple aided by the maid of honor and best man cut the cake. They first feed each other, then their parents before it is served to the rest of guests.

The main course is then served. Everybody gets to enjoy the meal prepared for the event. After all these events, people are definitely hungry because they have been active since the wedding ceremony. In addition, the appetizers served are bound to make people hungry. The planners of the event often choose the meal and the couple have the biggest say on what they want to be served.

After people have wined and dined, the parents of the bride and groom are given a chance to have their dance. This should be done after the dance of the couple to give both activities the attention they deserve. Parents get a chance to display their moves.

The final centerpiece giveaway is the closing event of the day. After sending off the couple, the rest of the guests remain to have fun, relax and dance the night away. A disk jockey plays hits to keep the momentum going.
