Using The Latest Africa Social Network

By Jayne Rutledge

In the past few decades the technology revolution has really taken off. Just a generation ago most people had little more that a family phone in their house. Today people have i phones, lap tops and many other technological devices that make it very easy to stay up to the moment with everyone around them. The impact of this has been felt even more strongly in places that have not traditionally had access to communication devices. Africa social network has really changed how people interact with each other and the rest of the world.

The past few years have seen a world wide explosion of media sites aimed at keeping people in touch. They are fast, user friendly and pictures can be uploaded in moments. Family members who have lost touch are able to reconnect and catch up with what has happened to their loved ones over the years.

The African continent is huge and diverse. It is home to many millions of inhabitants who may share a lot of cultural similarities, yet at the same time they also have many different and unique characteristics. Sharing a background is an essential part of the human experience and connecting with those from the same roots is a wonderful experience.

One of the best uses for the new social media is helping those who move away to stay in touch with home. People all over the world can log on to their computers and immediately check in with friends and family from back home. Having a network of contacts is the best way to get on in a new place. They can help the newcomers find a house, job and become established in their new community.

Historically many Africans have not had access to education. The social media revolution is helping to change that. People learn about how their neighbors have set up a new school and want to get one started in their own village. Even the most remote villages are now able to access life changing education for both their adults and children.

One group who is experiencing a dramatic amount of help is new mothers and their babies. In the past many infants have died simply because their mothers and those around them lacked the most basic medical knowledge. A media network can distribute life saving help to these women and help to spare them further heart break.

Educational help is also being supplied through media sites. Teachers in remote locations are receiving help like never before. They can access lesson plans, teaching tips and class room strategies. All this really help to compensate for the lack of formal training that many of the teachers have to deal with.

In common with most things in life Africa social network sites have many good features but users must be aware of the dangers. Personal safety should always be a priority and offers that seem too good to be true usually are. By keeping sensible precautions in mind many people are enjoying the opportunity to stay connected with friends and family all over the world.
