Components Method Used By Criminal Defense Investigator

Criminal cases needed serious handling from detective investigations to defense lawyers in court. They study the case and find leads in order to uncover the reason and evidence against the accused. They have the experience as well as the integrity and diligence in gathering records and witness interviews. The criminal defense investigator WA uses the components method to help the victims.

They use the highest standard in criminal defense which is the components method. Through this, they can uncover any reasonable doubt for the justification of their victim. Moreover, facts are questioned and evidences are evaluated in an objective manner. This leads to having answers to questions whether the accused is really guilty or innocent.

Moreover, it demands the use of critical thinking and problem solving skills. These characteristics are the results of the combined methods of old school and new school investigation techniques. They however put old school techniques over the new ones as it is the very foundation of this method. In addition, it puts art over science for investigative documentaries.

At its core, it is still an investigative process. Thus, tools are used to have a recovery process that is based on facts for its documentation. One such tool is management tools incorporated in case management systems. Having this will result to the provisions for maximum efficiency in the system. Another is reference and field guide tools. This is the contents used in making investigations guide for cases.

As an investigative process, it follows six certain steps. These are succeeding components wherein they cannot go to the next one until they completed the preceding step. This encourages developing questions that can be answered as they continue to progress in each step. It is important however to understand that investigators can revisit a step in accordance to needs of a case.

The first component is reviewing and analyzing a particular case. This step is already understandable in its detailed actions. They needed to study the file so they can look for vital facts to be analyzed. They also request the labs to do forensics on the object they brought. Later, the court will receive the report of the forensics directly from the labs.

Second is defendant interview. Here, they ask certain questions from the victim to find and single out the issue of the suspect against them. As a result, they can have a general idea of their motive of doing the crime. Finding this out is important as it helps in understanding the crime.

Thirdly, they inspect the crime scene. This will be revisited so they can analyze the happenings at that certain time. Here, they are to search for tools used, any objects left behind, and fingerprints of both parties. Fourthly, they investigate the personal background of their accused. They search for any criminal records they previously done. They will also interview people closest to him or her as well as those who interact daily with them in regards to their character and behavior.

Fifth is witness interview. Here, they are going to search and talk to witnesses of this crime in regards to their memory about this. They will write this down as documentation of witness statements. Sixth is the investigative report and testifying. They will file a case report on their findings, its analysis, and their conclusion. Later, they are to submit it to their police chief, defense lawyers, and the court.
