Why are we so scared to let go?
It's because we really don't think that we will find anything better despite how untrue that idea really is.
We believe somehow that the past is better than the future because we actually have things to hold onto rather than traveling into the unknown.
However, when you really think about it, our lives are a perfect representation of one thing ending and another thing coming into the picture. Every single time you experience a painful ending it creates something completely new.
If it's someone you had to walk away from, at one point in your life there was someone before them who you had to heal from.
Then that new person came in and healed the wounds you were carrying.They soothed the pain that was turning you inside out.
And it will happen again...
And another...
One day...someone will come into your life who will completely knock your socks off and love you in a way that you will never want to end. They will refuse to leave you because you mean that much to them and will do anything to keep you.
That will be an incredible day.
So until then, be gentle with yourself and know that the universe has a wonderful way of giving you exactly what you need to grow.
Notice how I didn't say "want."
It might not always be the prettiest lesson in the world, but it's exactly what you need in order to grow and move forward with your life.
By staying completely open to experiencing all of the different colors of life, you will live in the present moment and continue growing.
That's a very good life. That's a very happy life.
