By Mattie MacDonald

At the start of Christian faith, there existed only one autonomous worship center that lived by the bible. As time went by the leadership of this worship place kept on incorporating their ideas into the religion. This caused a conflict with those that did not agree with the act. Eventually, it had to split and every school of thought went on their way. This conflict finally caused the establishments of non denominational church in Houston.

Just like any other Christian community, they also believe in Jesus Christ the messiah and the holy bible. However, they disagree with any ideas that do not originate from the scripture. This community believes in autonomous existence as well. It is basically a society of free will and expression for as long as the bible is the reference. The organization of a church is as in the bible as well.

However such information is only a tip off the iceberg in the existence of non-denominational churches especially in Houston. The top management is this community comprises of old members of a society. A group of elders is selected to rule over the society. The philosophy here is that with age comes a special kind of knowledge, wisdom and understanding of natural ways. Next to them are the deacons, these are basically the brains of a society. Then at the periphery of leadership chain are the staff ministers.

The elders are the overall leaders in this sect as their word is as good as law. One of their numerous high profile roles is to manage all the facilities of the worship place. In addition to this, they also control the distribution and allocation of resources within the church walls. The deacons are charged with the development of a society but work with the approval of the elders. The elder also ensure transparency in the system.

The administrative staff of churches is responsible for the smooth running of the church. They are charged with the repetitive routines of an organization. The activities that are done on a daily basis are catered for by this administrative body. In large communities, a business manager is selected to manage the financial affairs of the society.

Bible interpretation and study is another issue that is taken very seriously in this church. The teaching of young on ways of their fore fathers is crucial for legacy continuity. Therefore, worship place ministers are appointed to foresee the accomplishment of this task. These ministers are so trusted that they can write their own teaching material. The elders however occasionally supervise their work.

The topics of discussion mostly revolve about the bible and the characters in it. Principles on the bible are broken down for the assimilation of young persons. Life lessons are also taught in some occasions. Issues such as proper decision making and living within the light of God are elaborated to the congregation.
