Relying on clever texting as your main source of attraction is doomed to fail. If the girl isn't down to pound from the jump, no amount of digital trickery is going to get her horned up for you. This will be readily apparent when you invite her out for drinks and receive a stock blow-off in return. "Oh, I'd love to go out with you, but my second cousin just got hit by two cars and I have to spoon feed him in the hospital."
Asian girls are hooked on social media and smartphones just the same as girls from any other first world country. Line, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Some other Japanese app that I'm not aware of yet -- they're all just feeder systems for narcissism if the girl has no interest in getting with you. She will gladly keep you on the texting hook for that sweet, sweet validation with conversations that ultimately lead nowhere.
Some players like to keep in constant contact with a stable of chicks, some of whom they have not slept with yet. While there is some merit to this approach, I find it to be a colossal waste of time unless nude pics are involved. Who has the time and mental resources to keep multiple concurrent LINE conversations going every day? Not this guy.
If texting/emailing/LINE chatting is your only available means of connecting with a female, that is a different story. Nonetheless, I have yet to discover an on the internet dating scheme in Japan that does not extremely favor white/black people (I'm Asian), so I will not discuss such interaction. I will state that it's still possibly a great idea to obtain the woman off her phone and into an izakaya with you quicker as opposed to later on.
