Choosing The Best Barn Wedding Venues GA In Five Minutes

By Kimberly Sanders

It takes more effort to make plans for an outhouse wedding as compared to other more traditional locations such as churches and hotels. Outhouses have little to no resources that one could use during ceremonies. A couple, therefore, has to put more effort into making an outhouse event work. On the upside though, these types of wedding provide some rather unique photo opportunities for the couple. Several things should be on your checklist when comparing barn wedding venues GA.

First, consider the budget for the event. Outdoor locations are generally not serviced and thus have few if any amenities required for a wedding. This means that you will have to pay extra for tents, chairs, portable washrooms, lighting facilities and water among others. Besides these, you have to ensure that the location has a license to host public events and ceremonies.

You should also keep in mind the sound ordinance rules that govern various localities. You should check with the local authorities regarding how long into the night you can play music. Since some weddings go well into the night, make plans with your DJ to cease the music once the time limit for playing music is reached.

Thirdly, you should consider the barn grounds. This will include the surface type as well as the available space for vehicles. The older adults at such events have to be driven to the venues, and thus there has to be ample space for several vehicles. The location should be comfortable, accessible and convenient for your guest to move around.

You should also find out in advance whether there are bugs within the outhouse. Animals usually occupy the outhouse facilities and used they are also used as hay storage, and thus you are almost certain to have bugs within the area. You should purchase bug sprays and repellent candles to keep the unwelcome insects at bay. The washroom facilities should also be well equipped with the bug repellents for use by your guests.

You should also compare the predicted weather pattern for areas with various outhouses that you are considering. You should avoid areas with erratic weather since that could easily mess up your plans. Depending on the weather, have plans to keep your guests weather-proofed. This could be done through the use of a wide range of fans throughout the event.

You should also make sure that the area is allergy-proofed. The presence of animals and hay could spell disaster for your guests who have allergies. Ensure the place is well cleaned in advance to remove traces of the allergic components. If you would like to be creative, feel free to use hay seats but ensure they are well covered with sheets.

Choose the outhouse venue that supports a wide range of dress codes. Most locations will have some rather soft grounds that will be unsuitable for heeled shoes. If that is the case, communicate to your guests beforehand and have them make arrangements for the same.
