Tips For Choosing A Good Wedding Hall

By Nancy Gardner

Weddings usually have a lot of expectations to live up to. So, finding the right venue is very crucial in delivering a dream wedding. The problem however lies in choosing a good venue especially if this is your first time to do so. There are lots of thinks you have to consider when putting together a shortlist of venues for your D day. Before you go dashing off to every single wedding hall in the neighborhood, here are a few things you need to keep in mind.

First, it is very important that you have a rough idea of guest numbers before you start the search or you be prepared to alter your numbers from time to time. Having a rough estimate will help you avoid the disappointment of visiting beautiful venues only to realize that they are too small for your guests. Having this number in mind is also very important as most venues demand that you have a rough estimate when making a booking.

Another very important factor to consider when choosing nuptial hall is its geographical location. For most couples, the most important thing when choosing a nuptial venue is always its accessibility. However, it is also important that you think about the logistics of getting everyone to the venue.

Unless you have a very big budget, you will also want to compare charges from different halls in the neighborhood. Of course this will vary from one place to the other depending on a number of factors. It does not however mean that the most expensive hall is the best and vice versa. In fact, there are some very good wedding venues that are charging very affordable fees.

The venue you settle on should also have plenty of parking spaces especially if most of your guests own cars. If there are no enough parking spaces within the compound, you should look for a good parking lot a round or a garage or even a street where parking is legal. If you realize that parking is going to be a problem, you should look for other alternative ways to ferry guests to the venue like hiring a shuttle or vans to ferry guests from a common place.

Since the wedding will be held inside a room, you should also look for a well lit room. If the room does not have enough windows, then you should organize for artificial lighting. There is nothing as bad as staying in darkness while there is plenty of light outside.

Before you make a booking, you also need to find out if the venue is full service or not. Full service venues offer everything from tables and chair rentals to linens and catering services. On the other hand, non full service most of the time only offers you the space and it is up to you to source for other supplies.

If you keep all these things in mind and ask the right questions, you will be able to find that ideal hall without breaking your back. But you need to remember that you are not the only one looking for a venue. In other words, good halls get booked in advance. It is therefore crucial that you start your search at least three months in advance.
