With the fast paced way of living we have right now, we are tricked into believing that doing nothing means unproductivity. Its as if working day in and day out will make our lives better. For some yes, but reality speaks of something different. We see a lot of people spend their whole lives working, but still end up not having the happy lives that they deserve had they spent time to stop and listen to God.
Even if we prepare and plan, the end result is not ours to decide. If God does not want us to be there, then we will never be there. Its all a matter of doing the things that we think is good and then trusting the Creator to handle the rest. My spiritual life journey is marked with ups and downs. But if you have solid trust to the Author of our lives, everything will turn out as it should be.
Nurturing your spirituality is a need. Sadly, a lot of people, especially those who are busy hoarding wealth and earning money, do not see this importance. Unless one has this close relationship with God, he or she cannot expect to feel fully satisfied with what he has regardless of how much it is. Today, I will be sharing some of the ways that helped me in this daily journey. Take a look at them below.
Writing daily on a journal. This is not just the typical diary you keep where you rant about all the complains and wrongs you experience within the day. Its a journal of positivity where you acknowledge the presence of the negatives but focus more on the good.
Having some minutes of silence. This starte off as a very difficult step considering the amount of noise at present. Even the efficiency of internet has proven to be a source of noise through the years. There is just too much information, a lot of it, does not really matter. Observing silence, like staying in a room with the computer, television, radio and even cell phones off will help you develop a sense of inner peace. It makes you think clearly and listen more to the voice of God.
Offering daily thanksgiving. Complaining is a waste of energy. It gives you bad vibes which can ultimately affect the quality of work that you do within the day. Thanksgiving on the other hand has a very beneficial effect. It makes you feel good and allows you to start the day right. No matter how small, thank the Lord for it.
Seeing things in a positive light. You cannot set aside the presence of negativity all over. You do not have control over them. However, you can definitely do something to make sure that they do not worsen. Recognize the bad thing but see beyond it. What could be the good thing that can come out of this.
Reading the Bible. Last but the most important thing is to read the Bible. No matter how busy you are, find time to read excerpts from the Bible. Its the best way to strengthen your Faith. Plus, its great for empowering and refreshing your thoughts.
Humans do not have the superpower to change the tide of everything. Sometimes, you need to accept the reality of the negative things in order to understand how you can address it best. Trust God for everything.
